Badenoch Community Centre
The location being used for day events consists of a single large hall (actually a one-room schoolhouse) and a large forested area.
The kitchen facilities are excellent and there are two bathrooms. Staying overnight would be possible, but there is no sleeping area as such
and no showers. The location is very convenient, just off the 401 near Guelph, but still isolated enough to be off the beaten trail.
Blue Springs Scout Reserve
Our weekend event site for the first event of 2010 is Blue Springs, a scout camp near Acton. The camp is a large site with many interesting features ranging from open fields to woods to wetlands and streams. The location
is about 15 minutes north of the 401 between Milton and Guelph. The 3 buildings we have rented include several separate sleeping areas, very nice bathroom and shower facilities, two kitchens, and a
covered outdoor porch area.
Camp Manitou
Our other weekend event site is Camp Manitou, a scout camp near Milton. The camp is a huge site with a variety of wooded and open areas
well suited for a variety of different encounters. There are two large buildings, the main one having two large bathrooms, a great
kitchen, and an upstairs sleeping area.
Advice for players: The sleeping areas at Camp Manitou do not have mattresses on the bunks. We suggest bringing an air mattress
or some other kind of padding.
