Campaign Policies

Waiver

All participants in Raven LARP events must sign a waiver indicating that they understand the risks inherent in a boffer-combat live-action role-playing game in an outdoor environment. Participants under the age of 18 must have their parent or guardian sign on their behalf. The waiver is available online, or in person at an event.

Character Creation

Character Death or Retirement

If your PC suffers their 7th and final death, you have the option to create a new character with 50% of the build points above the starting level that the dead character had. For example, if you had 50 build points and the starting amount was 20, your new character would have 20 + 15 (the starting amount, plus half of the 30 points you gained while playing the old character). No in-game items, coin, or faction rewards can be transferred to the new character. If you wish, you may elect to "retire" a character and receive the same offer as if that character had permanently died. Retired characters may only play a part in the ongoing game world by the mutual agreement of Paul & Stefan and the player involved; most of the time retired characters will not be seen again.

Buying Back Deaths

If your character has died a few times and you would like to keep him or her around longer you have 3 options: You may reduce your death total all the way to zero, and there is no limit to how many deaths you may buy back.

Adjudication

If you believe your character has suffered as a result of an error or cheating on the part of other players, or you have any other concern about the integrity of the game experience Raven LARP has provided you, please direct your concerns to either of the founders and we will address the situation as fairly as possible. If at all possible, please attempt to continue play and resolve such issues after the event. All consequences to your imaginary character can potentially be reversed later, as they are imaginary!
