Food at Events
Raven LARP operates a "tavern" that sells a variety of food and drinks for real-life money. Of course, players are welcome to bring their own
food and drinks as well.
For the 2010 season we are introducing a meal plan system to provide a greater variety of healthier meals and snacks at a fixed price. Chocolate bars,
pop, and other bottled drinks will remain on the food point system as before. Check the forums for more information, including the menu and pricing for the upcoming event.
Food Points
In addition to simply buying food directly, players can purchase "Food Points" in advance at 1 point per $1 to receive additional deals. Food
Points do not expire, and if something costs $5 on the menu it costs 5 Food Points.
- $10 = 10 Food Points + 1 free $1 drink or chocolate bar
- $20 = 25 Food Points
When purchasing Food Points, you can also spend Raven Points (a reward earned for various donations or volunteer work) to get more points at a
rate of 1 Raven Point = 1 Food Point, up to a maximum of the amount you are buying with cash. For example, if you are buying 25 Food Points
you can spend 25 Raven Points to double up to 50 Food Points in total. Raven Points may also be used to discount the cost of the meal plan by up to 50%,
at a rate of 1 Raven Point = $1.
